"Rocky" finished his Canadian Ch at 91/2 months with a Group 4th & BPIS over BIS AM/CDN CH's. At a year of age he was chosen for the Purina Champions Campaign, and featured in their 2002 Calendar.  He completed his American Championship in just 13 shows. His most recent win in February, as a Veteran, was BOS at the CC&SSA National Specialty, also winning the 1st Helen Lovett, Ronas Hill Memorial Trophy. A proud moment, as Maureen's 1st sheltie came from her in 1966. "Rocky", now 10 yrs old is our best bed bud, and great ambassador for our breed.

Ch. Borealis Ace of Spades HS, SJATD
Ace is our special boy. He finished his championship 10 years ago with a Best Puppy in Show.
He has an outstanding, 'bomb proof temperament and with a talent for herding was the first Sheltie to receive his CKC Herding Started title in Saskatchewan. A highlight for Ace was receiving best side gait and best rear in a 'Virtues Match' with Tom Coen. Also a qualified St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog, Ace enjoys his work in mental health at Crocus CO-OP here in Saskatoon.

CH. CINCERLEE'S THE COLOR OF MAGIC

Magic started her show career at the age of 6 1/2 years and flew to her championship in 4 days picking up Reserve Winners Bitch at the B. C. Sheltie Specialty along the way. The same day, in the All-Breed show she was selected Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show at Victoria City Kennel Club's time honoured Bred by Exhibitor Sweepstakes. Magic took a few months off for motherhood and is pleased tohave her girlish figure back in time to join in at the National. We are proud to have bred this fun loving, joyful girl and wish her luck as embarks on her quest for her American Championship.

Sean arrived by plane from Edmonton from Sandra Ralph, my sister, who bred him. Liz proudly showed him and with help he attained his Championship. Last fall he obtained a Group first. To finish the year of 2009, he became the proud Dad of 4 lovely puppies.

Player's achievements speak for them self as he is a Multi Group Placement Winner. In 2008 he was # 8 Top CKC Sheltie Puppy. He also was RW and BPISS for the BC Club in 2008. In 2009 Player made CKC's Top 20 Sheltie List. As a Sire, Player has numerous pointed kids. He is a wonderful dog with a super temperament.

Mala is the man! At the BC Sheltie Specialty in August, we had the pleasure of meeting him and we were fortunate enough to take him home with us.  Mala is very tighly linebred onAm/Can Ch. Rowanglen's Sir Lancelot. In Rowanglen family tradition, he has a lovely headpiece, melting expression and great structure. Mala has some very promising litters on the ground, ktot the results as he starts his American Championship. He is a sassy little redhead with a great personality and now that he has matured, he will be working on his US Championship

Ch. Borealis Donayne Pizarro CGN, SJATD
Painter, our first bi black, finished his championship as a puppy, undefeated from the classes, with a best puppy in Specialty Show and always beautifully presented by Tracy Tuff and Karen Pipke.

Like his grandfather, Painter has a wonderful biddable temperament. He has his CGN, and qualified as a St. John Ambulance Therapy dog at one year of age. He enjoys Rally O, Scottish Country Dancing for Dogs and is turning into a talented tracking/ sniffer dog (wow what a game!)

SHELHAVEN'S HIGH FLYER , CD. CGN, RN, RA

Shelhaven High Flyer or Brodie as he is known around here is a 6 year old sable sheltie from Nova Scotia, Canada. He has a wonderful laid back temperament and loves to play and go to class. Sometimes he does both at the same time, when he is feeling a bit naughty. He has achieved his PCD, CD, CGN, Rally Novice and Advanced with CKC. Brodie has a Novice CL in CARO. He does agility but his owner Sarah is a tad slow but he loves to be out there being competitive just the same.

SUMMERLOVE'S FIRE WALKER CD, SJATD& SUMMERLOVE'S RAGING INFERNO CD

Let me introduce you to Summerlove's Raging Inferno CD, (Rico), on the outside and on the inside is Summerlove's Fire Walker CD, RN (Walker). Rico enjoys agility and Walker's love is to herd sheep. He also is into Rally Obedience and they both compete in Brace Obedience. But where they really shine is as Certified St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. They visit the personal care homes and hospital in Hamiota each Wednesday and other facilities in the area as time permits. An excerpt from a letter by the Recreational Director of Birch Lodge, "To my amazement these dogs seem to sense which patients are most frail and need their love and attention most. They gently place their noses on the knees of these frail people, cuddle in just a wee bit closer and patiently wait for a pat. Over a short period of time these therapy dogs have won everyone's love and will definitely leave their paw prints upon our hearts. " These boys visit schools, patients in hospitals and Seniors' homes. They have been asked to attend Memorial Services, funerals and graveside services of their special friends who have passed on. I feel extremely privileged and proud to be owned by these two Boys.

SHELHAVEN REDSHIFT QUASAR, PCD

Shelhaven Redshift Quasar or Flynn is one year old and is from the same kennel as Brodie. He has his PCD and has taken Foundation Agility, has his PCD, achieved all three legs at one trial, and is taking Rally-O and conformation classes. He is a smaller sable male with a lovely temperament and is lots of fun to train and play with. He keeps his older brothers on their toes at all times and can out run them with a toy most days. Brodie, Flynn and their older brother, Tucker, are a huge part of my life and guess what they all sleep on my bed to lot's of people's dismay. I love them all dearly!

SUMMERLOVE'S RAGING INFERNO CD

I would like you to meet Rico, Summerlove's Raging Inferno CD. He has achieved everything that I have asked of him. Obtained his CD with High In Classes and works with his brother in Brace. I took him to agility classes and he excelled there. We have tried herding but Rico's love is his job as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog. He has his favourites and if they are not out to greet him when we arrive he eventually disappears. He knows which room belongs to whom and we'll find him visiting his friends at their bedside. Patients at Birch call him their "Bedside Angel".

Magic is the sole open breeding progeny out of our beloved BPIS Ch. Candega's Beachcomber and to our knowledge is one of the last producing bitches from Daphne Allen's  Candega lines.  After hearing upon our return to active breeding, Her previous owner graciously placed her in our care at the age of 6 1/2 yearsso we could bring her into the breeding program. We had to work quickly as time was against us and Magic came through, finishing quickly and producing three lovely puppies which will be hitting the ring later this year. At an age when a lot of dogs are retiring Magic is just starting her show career and will be heading stateside to work on her American title.
